Simple LCDC
Simple LCDC lineup
Epson's Simple LCDC series offers LCD Controllers with basic functionality. These products offer a low cost while retaining the advantage of a low power single chip solution. The Simple LCDC series supports TFT LCD panels from QVGA up to WVGA resolution, and is suitable for factory automation (FA) controller, medical instrument, measuring equipment, and office automation (OA) applications. The following Simple LCDCs are available.
S1D13L01
384K Byte Embedded SRAM. CPU interface supports direct /indirect 8/16bit bus and SPI. The embedded display buffer allows WQVGA up to 480x272 at 24bpp or 800x480 at 8bpp for single layer display, or 480x272 at 16bpp (Main Layer) and 480x272 at 8bpp (PIP Layer) for two layer display. Supported display features are 2 layer overlay, transparency, alpha blending, gamma correction with LUT and window rotation.
S1D13L02
1024K Byte embedded SRAM. The CPU interface supports an indirect 16-bit bus. The embedded display buffer supports WVGA up to 800x480 at 16bpp for single layer display. The S1D13L02 features a pixel doubling function which allows easy migration to larger panel sizes using existing image data -- such as QVGA to VGA. It also provides features such as: up to 3 display layers overlay, independent resizing of PIP window image data using the bi-cubic scaler (from x1/8 up to x8), transparency, alpha blending, gammma correction by LUT, and window rotation.
S1D13L03
768K Byte embedded SRAM. The CPU interface supports an indirect 8/16-bit bus. The embedded display buffer allows WVGA up to 800x480 at 16bpp for single layer display. Additionally, it supports gamma correction by LUT.
S1D13L04
Up to 16M Byte external SDRAM can be used for frame buffer. CPU interface supports direct/ indirect 16bit bus and serial interface. It can display up to XGA resolution (1024x768) at 18bit (256k colors). Supported display feature are multi window , alpha blending, transparency, gamma correction, pseudo color expansion and window rotation (180 degree and mirror). These features allow user to display various images on multiple windows (Main/PIP1/PIP2).
